Mouton is the most popular material used in fashion industry. Mouton is the French word for sheep. It refers to a selected pelt of a lamb that was originally developed as an alternative to wild furs, such as beaver and seal.

While the fur of most sheep is curly but rough, mouton is quite the opposite; its texture is far plusher and softer as its hair has been straightened and chemically treated. Mouton is a natural insulator while, in addition, is also resistant to flame and static electricity as it is thermally set to produce a moisture-repellent finish. Mouton is often dyed in many colors while it is used at a great range of products, from wallets to coats as it is also well established for its durability.

We carefully select all of the raw materials from the best pelts at major auctions both in North America and North Europe, especially from farms in countries of high coldness where animals have got a superior fur.
