IN DETAIL:
Raccoon’s fur is grey, with dark black markings around its eyes, and black bands on its tail. Its belly and muzzle is lighter colored while the feet are darker grey. Raccoon has coarse, medium-length fur and a very bushy tail.

It has originally been used to make collars and fur trim for coats, vests and, even, hats. As it is rather soft and dense with a good amount of loft to the strands, it is ideal for contrast trim around neckline and wrists. In addition, this fur is airy as raccoons are protected from the wind and are dried when swimming or getting caught in the rain due to their outer layer of stiff, coarse guard hairs. That also makes the specific fur durable and a great material for those who want medium pile that isn’t too long or short.

When the fur needs to be dyed, only special extra-ordinary colours are used that do not exist in nature. This procedure is taking place according to the latest technology methods that preserve the natural quality of the furs without any damage.
